Positives on the Gianst game.
1. The Secondary played very very well. Somari rolle is still a top notch corner. Like i said having him back will make this team a lot better. Fabian washinton played well as well. He showed his speed when he chased Ahmad bradshaw down. that was an amaizing play, it showed he is a tough, never let up player, it showed a lot of heart.
2. The O-line held up well. although it was like an ambulance was on standby, they still played well. Flacco also helped out moving around in the pocket. Against arguably the best pass rush it held up pretty well. Against the run.....thats a diffrent strory.
3. Flacco......now now hear me out even though had 2 picks, both weren't bad passes. The first one was just a great play by Ross. against half the corners in the NFL that would have been a completion. although mason was covered really well, it was still a good pass, and a great play by ross. you cant take that away from him. his second pick was a bad play by mason....he should have caught that.
I dont know how we lost this game by this many points we really played well. take away the pick 6, a slightly high pass to Mason in the endzone, and a blocked field goal we lose by 3!!! I dont think any other team will rush for more than 100 yards on us not to talk of 207!!! it was just one of those games that nothing came our way. Tackles that usually get people down were being broken for 60 yards runs. look i dont believe in moral victories, but that game didn't really show how the game went. it wasn't a total beatdown. We still need someone to help mason, even with a dislocated shoulder he still outplayed all our other WRs, and even our TE, thats a shame. Having samari back will make us very good people seem to underestimate what that will do for this team.

Just a few plays away
from making a game of it. However, the good teams make those plays and the otehrs don’t. We didn’t on Sunday and may do the same thing to the Eagles and send them home at .500.

A few thoughts to yours
1) I think the secondary looked good because the Giants didn’t need to air it out. Why throw it, especially in those wind conditions when the run is so successful? I think its less they shutdown the pass as they couldn’t stop the run.
2) I don’t think the O-line gets enough credit for keeping Flacco safe back there. Especially against the Giants rush. I wish they could have made more of an impact on the running game but as long as Flacco doesn’t get his legs cut out from under him or a head injury, I am happy.
3) Flacco play fantastic considering that he is a first year quarterback against one of the top, if not the top team in the league. And again, those wind conditions didn’t help either.
"When they get drafted by the Baltimore Ravens, we expect them to play like that. Are we surprised? No."

I just cant help but thinking...
If Derrick Mason hadnt dropped the TD pass. And hadn’t allowed for that INT, it would have been a completely different ballgame. Think 23-17, thats a lot more playable. And even if its still a loss it looks a lot better than 30-10

Still
as long as you realize that, which I also do, it means that we are actually much better than the score dictated. Just a couple of tough plays away from competing with the best team in the league. If you remember, when Mason had that ball bounce off his shoulder/hands, we were down 20-10 and on our own 47 yard line, driving for a FG or TD that would have made the Giants and their fans real nervous. I believe that Mason’s shoulder issue had everything to do with his inability to get his arms up high enough to grab that ball, as he usually catches everything. Change that pick six for even just a FG and we’ve got an entirely different game, whether we win or not. Gotta believe!

we needed someone to help mason for years…management expected to waste our tickets this year but flacco has come out of nowhere and caught management with their pants down…now we’re screwed receivre wise and our run will be stuffed and mason double teamed. the teams fighting for wild car all have double receiver threats..we haven’t developed clayton enough to compete.

I don't know about that
It seems to be that Flacco is getting more comfortable and not afraid to go to Clayton in key situation. I expect Clayton to get more touches and open up the passing game with his skills. We just need a better deep threat and Figurs just doesn’t do it for me.

okay…we essentially have 2 10 yard receivers…thats fine but i’m talking to the lack of a deep threat..that takes away from 1/2 of hat mason could do if there was one. get chad johnson.
