The Ravens as we aLL know Have Had Bad Luck When It CoMEs tO DrAftInG Wide Recievers.  We Now Have TwO Promising Big Rookies, in Ernie Wheelwright, and Marcus Smith, They are Both big strong WRs, i Personally prefer wheelwright, he has better hands, and he is bigger.  Earnie Wheelwright is a rookie out of Minnetsota, He is 6-5 220, While he isn't a burner, he has great hands, and he can make the play in trafic, he had a great senior season in Minnetsota, and he is a really good possesion Widereciever, although he may not beat you deep, he can find the holes in the defence, and get open. Which seemst to be something our Williams and Clayton couldn't do. THen we have Marcus Smith, who is 6-1, 215.  He like WheelWright is big, and has good hands, he is more of a possesion WR, he can make the play in the slot, and he reminds me of a slightly bigger hine ward.  He can block, and make plays, which he seemed to do a lot of in college.  His hands aren't as good, as Wheelwright, but he is a little faster than Wheelwright.  He droped a lot of passes in preseason, but He could still Be solid WR for us. Although  these aren't top round picks they are some thing to build on, who knows We could find a jewel.  We couldn't hopefully find a Marques Colston, or a Brandon Marshall, you never know.    PLEASE OZZIE DRAFT MALCOM JENKINS IN THE FIRST ROUND, AND DHB IN THE SECOND PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please lay off the Caps

I would like to read your article but I just can’t with that crazy Caps/UnCaps style. Can you please repost? Thanks

What the $#@%!

GoD tHiS MuSt HaVe TaKeN YoU FoReVeR! What I just typed took me a good 15 seconds to do and you wrote way more than I did. Typing like that is pointless, why did you do and want to “try out” a new style like that?

Anyway, How come you talk of our WR postion being weak, but you tell us yo draft a cornerback out of ohio state? We got a strange on here boys.

Look, the thing is....

Our WR position is weak, but our CB position is weaker, We have lost lots of game because of our weak secondary. I really dont think its nesseasary to talk about me bro, but its all good. look I just think our CB need are more important than our WR needs right now. its like having to decide between two surgeries, an arm surgery, or a brain surgery. Although both are important, one is more important right now. right now we need a CornerBack, more than we need a WR.

Thats why I said Lets Draft DHB.

He will be availiable in the first round, and drafting a WR in the first round would be pointless when DHB will be availiable in the second round, and we can adress our most pressing need which is CB. So Before you start talking about me listen to my what i have to say first.

i Fixed It the typing ..

i just thought i’d be cool to see how it looks, no big deal.

Sorry..

Did not mean to attack you like that, it was just strange to see that style of typing. But I agree with you, Corner is by far our weakest position. We have somewhat of young talent at WR, but our depth at Corner is not great. Besides Fabian, who still has not proved THAT much to us, we have no one. I believe Frank Walker is the WORST player on our team that sees playing time. I would love to get a corner in the first round, which is the direction we will most likely go, looking as if CMAC may be done as a Raven. He is expecting a lot of money after this season and we cannot keep him around, paying him all this money, if he cant contribute to a high majority of our games. Jenkins would fit perfectly in this defense, as would anyone basically, except walker of course. We can probably get a wideout in free agency, BUT, there are some decent free agents in the Corner after this season such as Ashnogwa (the guy from st louis, his name is crazy) Chris Gamble, and Dunta Robinson. They are all very young players, and if we get rid of Bart Scott, which I think we will, and maybe some of the older gentlemen, expect some movement in the FA market.

Its cool, i agree with you 100%

i still dont know what Frank walker is doing on this team, although he might be better than corey ivy, IDK, they both suck. the only reason i would rather us Draft a CB, is because our Defence is getting really old, and we have to start gettin young at some point, and better sooner than later. Our Offence on the other hand is Young, and we need Some Veteran Leadership, and I would like us to Get a FA WR, because we just haven’t had luck drafting WRs, and we Have had way better luck drafting defensive players than offensive, although i dont think there are any good WRs on the FA market. My Vote is We Draft a CB first, and WR second, if it were up to me i would draft both a WR, and CB in the first round like we did with Ray, and Ogden. these two positions are that important, and they are our biggest weakness. I say we trade up, to get both positions in the first round.

I think we adress our needs with proven vets. I say we go out and sign guys who we know are playmakers in the NFL and not draft guys who we hope will be. I really hope the ravens go after the best CB in the league, Namdi Asoughma or, go out and sign/trade for a guy like Boldin or Ocho Cinco. If we sign a corner, we draft a WR in the 1st round, if we sign a WR, we draft a CB.

I agree with you on are two rookies. I to am a believer of Wheelwright and Smith. I even believe Wheelwright can be the next CHOLSTON! I know its saying alot, but you never know. Who really thought Cholston would turn out to be what he is?

I like Marcus Smith over Wheelwright

Smith caught 94 (not a typo) his senior season, and that’s over 11 college games, never less than 4 a game and 10+ in a couple of games. Furthermore, his hands are way better than Wheelwright, as in addition to speed, Ernie’s hands were suspect. Smith would have made a bigger impact coming out of training camp but got hurt. He was running w/ the first team when Clayton and D. Williams were injured. I can see Smith taking Clayton’s spot and being that deeper over the middle threat we don’t have.

C-Mac is now out for Sunday and Samari is questionable. This could be disasterous for us. Good news is that Jeriviscious (?) is out for them and Stallworth is as invisible as our Heap. God help Fabian and Walker on Braylon!

Amen 2 Dat!!!

I really Hope we at least contain Braylon Edwards, if we can hold him to less than 120, and no TDs, we might win. as for wheelwright, and Smith…the reason i say i prefer Wheelwright is because smith sucked in the preseason. Wheelwright was Okay in the preseason. It seemed that Smith was overwheelmed by the Big Stage, and it was preseason!!. He and Justin harper droped soo many passes. Lets hope he gets over that like flacco did. To tell you the truth i really dont care who steps up, it can be Ngata at WR for all i care, i just need someone other than D’mase to contribute at WR.

THANK YOU!

How hard is it to beat our offense (by a good defense) than to just make sure they are watching Mason? Ive said it probably TOO many times on this site, but I need to see a stud wideout. Just because they are really good at catching the ball AND SCORING, doesnt mean they will run their mouth, like most of the standout WR in this league. It a change of scenery, we have played possession football ever since Testverde left us. David Boston anyone??

I HEAR YA BRO...

We need anything, something, a rock could get open more times than our current WRs are, excluding D’mase. Heap is nowhere, Clayton is a bust, and Dwill is on IR (he wasn’t doing much anyways.) i say we put clayton at CB… anyone with me? He isn’t doing much at WR, he might be better of at CB since we need help there. just a thought.
